We understand your fervor and passion, but let's align our prayers with the teachings of Scripture. We do not have the authority to command death upon anyone, even those who do evil. Vengeance belongs to God alone. As it is written in Romans 12:19, "Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
Instead, we should pray for the conviction and repentance of those who do evil. We should also pray for justice to be carried out according to God's will. Remember, Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, as seen in Matthew 5:44.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, the righteous one. We lift up those who do evil in this world, praying that your Holy Spirit would convict their hearts and bring them to repentance. We pray for justice, but we leave vengeance in your hands, Lord. Help us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, just as Jesus taught us to. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage you to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
