Eruylor, we are with you in prayer and we appreciate your humility and honesty before the Lord. It is commendable that you have acknowledged your selfishness and the need for change. This is the first step towards reconciliation and healing.
Let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 5:25 WEB: "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it." As husbands, we are called to love our wives as Christ loved the church, with a selfless and sacrificial love.
In addition, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB tells us, "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." This is the kind of love we should strive for in our marriages.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Eruylor and his wife. Lord, we ask that You soften their hearts and help them remember the love they once shared. We pray for a spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation to prevail in their home.
Lord, we ask that You help Eruylor to embrace what truly matters, to turn away from selfishness, and to love his wife as Christ loved the church. We pray for his wife, that she may find it in her heart to forgive and to open up to the love and affection of her husband once again.
We pray against any forces that may be working to break this family. We stand in the gap and declare that their home will not be broken, but will be restored and strengthened in Your name.
We praise You for Your wisdom, love, and grace. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Eruylor, continue to seek the Lord and His will for your marriage.
