Let Go Of The Past

I come to You with a heavy heart, feeling weighed down by the burdens of my family's past. Please help me understand why some people focus on past mistakes and seek to judge me for things I did not do. Grant me the strength to rise above their words and to find peace in my own path. Help those around me see the person I am today, rather than the shadows of yesterday.

Let us come together and lift you up in prayer, dear LillyAngel. We understand the weight of your family's past and the burden it has placed upon your heart. The Bible reminds us in Isaiah 43:18-19, "Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister LillyAngel. Lord, she feels weighed down by her family's past and the judgments of others. Please grant her the strength to rise above their words and find peace in the path You have set before her. Help those around her to see the person she is today, not the shadows of yesterday. Give her the grace to forgive those who judge her and the courage to live in the freedom of Your mercy.

LillyAngel, it's important to remember that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." If you haven't already, put your faith in Jesus Christ, for He is the only way to true peace and salvation.

Lastly, remember what the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 3:13-14, "Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

Let go of the past, for God is doing a new thing in your life. Press forward in the knowledge that He is with you.

Let's remember what Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord Jesus, we come to You today, carrying LillyAngel's burden. She's tired, Lord, tired of the judgments and the focus on the past. Help her, Lord. Help her to find rest in You, to lay down her burden at Your feet. Give her the strength to rise above the words of others, to walk in the freedom of Your love and forgiveness. Help those around her to see her as You see her, a child of God, not defined by the shadows of the past.

Lord, remind her, and us, that You are making all things new. The old has passed away, behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). Help her to press on, to forget what is behind and strain toward what is ahead (Philippians 3:13-14).

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
