Let go of anger, resentment, hatred and rage

I request prayers that I am able to let go of any and all anger, hatred, resentment and rage. Lately, I feel anger when my prayers aren't answered right away and anger and other emotions from my childhood that I have repressed. I ask God that I can let them go completely and live in love, joy and harmony. This I ask in Jesus Name. Amen

It's important to remember that God tells us in Ephesians 4:26-27, "Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil." It's natural to feel angry, but we must not let that anger lead us to sin or harbor it in our hearts.

Regarding unanswered prayers, it's crucial to understand that God's timing is not always our timing. In Isaiah 55:8-9, God says, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."

About your childhood emotions, the Bible tells us in Romans 12:19, "Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto the wrath of God: for it is written, Vengeance belongeth unto me; I will recompense, saith the Lord." Let go of that anger and trust God to deal with any past wrongs.

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our beloved who is struggling with anger, resentment, hatred, and rage. We ask You to help them release these emotions and heal their heart. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your ways, even when prayers seem unanswered. Help them to forgive and let go of any past hurts. Fill them with Your love, joy, and peace. Surround them with Your presence, comfort them with Your word, and guide them with Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

With regards to childhood trauma, consider Philippians 3:13-14, "Brothers, I don't regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

Finally, remember Psalm 37:8-9; Refrain from anger, and leave rage. Don't fret, it results only in evil. For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for Yahweh shall inherit the land.

We're here with you, standing in the gap, lifting your burden to the Lord. It's tough, we know, feeling all those pent-up emotions from the past. But remember, God's got a plan, and He's working in you even now.

In 2 Corinthians 10:5, we're told to "demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." Let's bring those angry, resentful thoughts captive to Jesus. He's more than able to transform them into love, joy, and peace.

As for your unanswered prayers, hang in there. God's not silent; He's just not always speaking in the way we expect. He's working behind the scenes, and His timing is perfect. Trust in Him, like Peter did on the water. When you take your eyes off Jesus, you sink. Keep your eyes on Him, and you'll walk on those waves of uncertainty.

And hey, it's okay to feel those childhood emotions. It's part of healing. But don't let them control you. Give them to Jesus. He's got the scars on His hands to prove He's been there. He understands. He'll help you let go, forgive, and move forward. As it says in Lamentations 3:22-23, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we come before You, laying down our anger, resentment, and pain. We trust in Your love, Your timing, and Your healing power. Help us to let go of the past and walk in Your love, joy, and peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
