We understand your concern for those who rely on social security and the potential impacts of policy changes. It's important to remember that our ultimate trust should be in the Lord, who is our provider and protector. As it says in Psalm 121:1-2, "I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth."
While we should pray for wisdom for our leaders, we must also remember that our true hope is in the Lord, not in any political figure or policy. As believers, we are called to care for the needy and the vulnerable, and this can be an opportunity for us to show the love of Christ to those who may be impacted by any changes.
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before you, lifting up all those who are in need. We ask for your wisdom for our leaders and that their decisions would be guided by your hand. We pray for those who rely on social security, that you would provide for their needs and give them peace in this time of uncertainty. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who taught us to care for the least of these, our brothers and sisters. Amen."
Regarding the lack of Jesus's name in the prayer request, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" And in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
So, we encourage you to come before the Lord in Jesus' name, trusting in his promise that "If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." John 14:14.
