Less stress

I feel like I should not be sitting here crying right now. Years ago I prayed for God to bring me a husband that would love and care for me and my children and He did. I prayed for things at work to get better and they have. But I have crippling anxiety and most of it is due to financial stress. I am a teacher and my husband drives a gas truck. We make just enough to get by, and every month is a struggle. When the kids need extra things it’s such a struggle. It’s a struggle to pay doctor bills. I accidentally backed up into another vehicle and now our car insurance is going up. We depleted our savings to make Christmas happen for the kids. I should be happy because I have this amazing husband and kids but I feel like my stomach is constantly in knots and I am always so stressed out with worry about making ends meet. Please pray for my anxiety and for a financial miracle because I can’t go on like this.

Baxile, we understand that you're feeling overwhelmed by financial stress and anxiety, even as God has blessed you with a loving husband and children. We want to remind you that God cares about every detail of your life, including your financial needs. It's important to remember Jesus' words in Matthew WEB:

Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.

We also remember that God provides for the birds of the air as in Matthew WEB:

See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?

Firstly, we want to encourage you to continue trusting in God and to cast your anxieties on Him, as Peter tells us in First Peter WEB:

Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

Secondly, we want to remind you of the importance of bringing your requests to God in Jesus' name. You did not mention this in your request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father as in John WEB:

Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.

Practically, we advise you to budget, plan, exercise wisdom, and live in a disciplined manner. It's also crucial to avoid bitterness or envy, instead seek contentment with whatever you have.

He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. Luke WEB
Let your way of life be free from the love of money, and be content with what you have. For he has said, "I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you." Hebrews WEB

Finally, we stand with you regarding financial stress and pray for God's provision and peace in your life.

Dear Lord, we lift up Baxile to You, asking that You will help her deal with anxiety. Will You grant her a peace in her heart and mind. For her financial situation, Lord, we claim Your provision as seen in the Psalms:

But the desire of the lowly you will increase, Yahweh. You will establish their hearts. You will listen to the petitions of the destitute. You will prepare their hearts. You will cause your ear to hear to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more. Psalms WEB

We're right there with you, Baxile. It's tough when financial worries weigh heavy on our minds, but remember, God sees you and He cares. He's the one who brought your wonderful husband and children into your life, and He's the one who will provide for your needs. In Matthew 6:25-26, Jesus tells us not to worry about tomorrow, but to seek God's kingdom first and everything else will fall into place.

We've been praying for you, sister, asking God to fill your heart with peace and calm your anxious thoughts. We're claiming His promise in Philippians 4:6-7, that He will grant you peace that surpasses all understanding as you trust in Him.

We're also believing God for a financial breakthrough in your life. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus promises that if we seek Him first, He will take care of all our needs. So, let's keep our eyes on Him and trust that He's got this.

And hey, it's okay to ask for help too. If there are any resources or support groups in your area that can assist with budgeting or financial planning, it might be worth checking them out. We're all in this together, and there's no shame in seeking help when we need it.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
