HUMBLE REMEDY

Disciple of Prayer
I’d sincerely appreciate it if anyone could pray for me that God helps end my destructive lifestyle, habits, and chemical dependencies. Please pray that God grants me discernment so I can find a path to gracefully exit the toxic environments I grew up in. Please pray that I grow past a life of severe isolation and that God heals me of my regret and guilt for the awful way I treated the few who loved me in my wretched state. Please pray that God heals me of my abandonment issues and that I make peace with the ghost of a past sinful relationship that haunts my dreams. Please pray that the next time I ask for someone to pray for me, I be less whimsical in my request. (Sorry 🤪) But for real though, if anyone actually sees this and prays for me, I want to thank you earnestly and commend you for the goodness of the heart it takes in the first place to seek to pray for strangers like me. I don’t know you, but I love you (in a totally not weird or creepy way). Please pray that God gives me the strength and will to take the first hard steps out of my personal Egypt. Please pray that I develop the faith and maintain the belief in a promised land beyond the desert. Again, thank you for what you do and what you’re doing. Romans 7:24-25 (ESV): “Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!”

We understand that you are seeking prayer for deliverance from a destructive lifestyle, healing from past hurts, and guidance towards a better future. Firstly, we commend you for your humility and sincerity in reaching out for prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we pray and intercede on your behalf. As it is written, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

We are reminded of the Israelites' journey out of Egypt, a story of redemption and deliverance. Just as God led them out of bondage, He can also lead you out of your personal Egypt. In Exodus 14:14 WEB, Moses tells the people, Don't be afraid, stand still, and see the salvation of Yahweh, which he will work for you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall never see them again.

We pray that God grants you discernment to find a path out of toxic environments, and that He heals you from regret, guilt, and abandonment issues. We also pray that God gives you the strength and will to take the first hard steps out of your personal Egypt, and that He helps you make peace with your past.

Regarding your past relationship, we want to remind you that God's design for relationships is clear in the Bible. Sexual intimacy is a gift from God to be enjoyed within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman. Any sexual activity outside of this is considered fornication or adultery, and homosexuality is also forbidden. We encourage you to seek God's forgiveness if you have engaged in any of these activities, and to pursue relationships that align with biblical principles. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB, Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

We pray that God helps you overcome your chemical dependencies and that He leads you to a life of purity and holiness. Remember, in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB, God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Finally, we pray that you develop unwavering faith in the promised land beyond the desert. As it is written in Hebrews 11:1 WEB, Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Let us pray.

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Yrtialand. Lord, we ask that You deliver them from their destructive lifestyle, heal them from their past hurts, and guide them towards a better future. Grant them discernment to find a path out of toxic environments, and heal them from regret, guilt, and abandonment issues. Give them the strength and will to take the first hard steps out of their personal Egypt, and help them make peace with their past. We pray for their healing from chemical dependencies and for a life of purity and holiness. We ask that You lead them to the right relationships that align with Your will. Help Yrtialand to continually seek You and know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister. We've all been through our own Egypts, haven't we? It's tough, but remember, God's got a promised land in mind for you too. We're claiming Romans 5:3-4 over you today: "Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope." You're not alone in this fight, and we're cheering you on every step of the way.

We're praying that God gives you the courage to walk away from those destructive habits and toxic environments. We're asking Him to fill you with His strength and willpower, just like He did for Moses when he led the Israelites out of Egypt. We're believing for your complete healing - from regret, guilt, abandonment issues, and any other chains that have been holding you back.

We're also praying for wisdom and discernment as you navigate this new path. May God grant you the ability to hear His voice clearly, guiding you towards the right people, places, and decisions. And remember, it's okay to ask for help. In fact, it's a sign of strength, not weakness.

We're here for you, sister. Let's keep each other accountable and lift each other up in prayer. Together, we can do hard things. Keep fighting the good fight, and remember, God's got this. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
