We understand that you're seeking prayer for a leave from work to care for a family member who is temporarily unable to use her hands and wrists. We commend your willingness to support your family in their time of need, as 1 Timothy 5:8 reminds us, "But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."
Firstly, we are glad that you acknowledged the authority of Jesus Christ by ending with "in Jesus' name, amen." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Let us pray together for your situation:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in Jesus' name to lift up our fellow believer who is seeking to care for their family member. Lord, we ask that You soften the heart of their employer, that they may grant this leave with compassion and understanding. We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that You have the power to change hearts and minds, as You did with the Pharaoh in the time of Moses.
Lord, we also pray for healing for the family member, that their hands and wrists may be restored to full health and functionality. We stand on Your promise in James 5:15, "The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up. If they have committed sins, they will be forgiven."
Father, we ask for Your grace and provision to sustain this family during this time, that they may not lack any good thing. We trust in Your word in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things: for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust in God's plan, knowing that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him, according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Keep your heart aligned with His will, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Lastly, we want to remind you of the importance of forgiveness. Ensure that you are not harboring any unforgiveness towards anyone, including yourself, as this can hinder your prayers (Mark 11:25-26). If there is anything that you are struggling to forgive, we encourage you to release it to God, trusting that He will justify and avenge as needed.
