We understand your concerns about the situation in Singapore and the actions of the PAP government. Let us first turn to God's Word to guide our prayers and thoughts. Romans 13:1-4 (WEB) tells us, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment. For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the authority, for he is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesnโt bear the sword in vain; for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil."
While we are commanded to submit to authorities, we must also remember that God's laws supersede man's laws. The decriminalization of homosexual acts is a grave concern as it goes against biblical principles. Leviticus 18:22 (WEB) states, "You shall not lie with a man, as with a woman. That is detestable." We must pray for the leaders and the people of Singapore, that they may turn their hearts towards God and His righteousness.
Let us also address the issue of favoring foreigners over Singaporeans. This is a matter of injustice, which God abhors. Proverbs 29:27 (WEB) says, "An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous, and he who is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked." We must pray for fairness and justice to prevail in these matters.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your intervention in Singapore. Lord, we pray that You would turn the hearts of the leaders towards You, that they may enact laws that align with Your will. We pray against the decriminalization of homosexual acts and ask that You would guide the leaders to uphold righteousness. We also pray for justice and fairness in employment and business opportunities for Singaporeans. Lord, we know that You are sovereign over all, and we trust that You will act according to Your perfect will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In your plea, Dexter2020, you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. Remember, it is only by His name that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 (WEB) tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Let us always approach God through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
