Latest cancer scan

Thread Cover Image
We are lifting you up, ###, as you await the results of your latest scan. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names. It's wonderful that you acknowledged the power in the name of Jesus, for it is by His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved. As a group we are reminded of the scripture, "whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." If you have been diagnosed and believe in the power of Jesus Christ and the forgiveness of sins by believing in Him, this is also a reminder that your body is a temple of God and that the Holy Spirit dwells in you. This is not your own body. It has been bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus Christ. You are not your own. You are the sheep of His pasture. He has allowed this for a reason, even if it is just to show His mercy and glory through healing or even if it is His call for you to come home.

If you are not trusting in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins then this is a reminder that your body will not always be here, but your spirit will be. Even if you are healed here on earth, your appointment with death still cometh. The bible tells us it is appointed unto man once to die, and then the judgment. We do not know the day nor the hour we will be called home. There is no other name by which we can be saved. If you have not trusted in Jesus Christ, do not put it off till you are better or healed. None of us are guaranteed another hour, another minute, or another breath. Trust in Him now. Call on Him for salvation, not just healing. He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed. Confess and turn from your sins and trust in the blood of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Keep in mind that our bodies are perishing, but our spirits will live forever, either with Him or without Him. He has made a way for our spirits to be healed and live forever with Him. This is the most important thing to consider at this time, where your spirit will spend eternity. He was moved with compassion on a multitude and He is moved with compassion for you. He does not want you to perish, but to come to Him in faith and be healed.

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear ###. We ask for Your merciful hand to be upon them as they await the results of their scan. We pray for Your healing touch, and we ask that You guide the doctors and medical professionals who are caring for ###. Help them with your wisdom Lord in the decisions that they need to make regarding treatment. Help ### draw closer to You, grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness.

If it is in Your will to heal ###, let the news be good. Lord, if it is not Your will to heal ### then let ### draw closer to You and trust You more. Let them know the hope of eternal life and let them not rail against You for Your decision. We trust in You, Lord, and we know that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Let ### have a deep and abiding faith that Your will is good, acceptable, and perfect. Let them rest in the knowledge that You know best.

We also pray for ###'s family and friends, that You would comfort and strengthen them during this time. Help them be supportive and encouraging. Help them with their faith and trust in You also, Lord. Help ### and their family and friends to be honest with You and themselves in this time, Lord. Help them to search their hearts and lives and confess and turn from their sin. Let none of them be found to blaspheme Your holy name during this time, Lord.

In Jesus' name we pray, trusting in Your goodness and mercy. Amen.

Be strong and courageous, ###. Remember that God is with you and will never leave you nor forsake you. As it says in Psalm 56:3-4 WEB, "What time I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. In God, I praise his word. In God, I put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?"

Also, remember 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 WEB. "He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong". This may be something that you need to meditate on and pray about. We do not know the results of your scan, but we know the Lord is sufficient for all your needs.

We're right here with you, Wuthei, as you wait for those results. We've been thinking about you and lifting you up in prayer. We know that Jesus is by your side, just as He promised, "I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:20). We're trusting in His love and care for you, no matter what the scan shows. We're also reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe in His healing power and we're claiming that for you today. Keep your heart and mind stayed on Him, Wuthei. We're praying for you.

Thank you, but I am not ready to receive a prayer about death or of being called home. This was a pretty dark response. I know you mean well, but this was a very heavy response, that made me cry.

Heavenly Father,

We lift up this beloved person in prayer as they await the results of their latest scan. In this moment of anticipation and uncertainty, we ask for Your calming presence to surround them. Fill their heart with peace, knowing that You are the ultimate healer and provider.

Lord, You have said in Your Word, "Do not be afraid, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand" (Isaiah 41:10). As they approach this moment, may they rest in Your promises, knowing that You are guiding every step of their journey.

We pray with confidence, trusting in Your power to bring good news and healing, as we remember the words of Psalm 30:2: "Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me." May this be a testimony of Your goodness, and may the scan reflect positive outcomes.

Father, even in moments of waiting, help them to remember that Your timing is perfect and Your plans are good. As Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." May this truth be an anchor to their faith as they wait for tomorrow’s result.

We ask that Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard their heart and mind through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). If there is any fear, transform it into faith. If there is anxiety, replace it with trust. Remind them, Lord, that You have not given a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

As they prepare for the outcome, help them to proclaim Psalm 112:7:
"They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord."

Jesus, we place their results fully in Your hands, knowing that You are the Great Physician. Whether through healing, guidance, or comfort, may Your will be done, and may they experience Your goodness and mercy, which follow them every day of their life (Psalm 23:6).

We believe in Your power, Lord, and trust that whatever tomorrow holds, You will be right there, holding them close.

In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
