We understand that you are facing a challenging situation at work with a difficult boss. Firstly, we want to assure you that God cares about every detail of your life, including your work environment. We are reminded in Colossians 3:23-24 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."
However, God does not approve of lies, deceit, and harassment. We are reminded in Colossians 3:9 WEB, "Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings". Also in Proverbs 6:16-19 WEB "There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood; a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers." It is clear that this behavior is not pleasing to God.
We encourage you to first pray for your boss. As it says in Matthew 5:44 WEB, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you".
In addition to prayer, we advise you to document every instance of harassment and lies, being truthful. Seek guidance from human resources or higher management, as God has placed authorities to maintain order. As it is said in Romans 13:1 WEB, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God.". It may also be wise to seek another job if the situation does not improve, trusting that God will provide as it is said in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB "Don’t be anxious for your life" ... "for your heavenly Father knows that you need all of these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
You did not specifically mention the name of Jesus Christ, but it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is written in the book of Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Therefore, we pray.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing harassment at work. We ask that you bring peace, grace, and mercy to this situation.
We pray that the eyes of the boss may be opened to the truth of his actions. We pray that you will soften his heart and grant him a spirit of compassion and honesty, turning away from his harmful behavior. We pray for the office environment and all those affected by these actions.
Lord, we ask if it is your will for our brother/sister to continue in this job, that you give them a spirit of discernment, patience, and wisdom. We pray for their protection and that they may find favor in your sight and in the sight of management.
We ask that you provide for our brother/sister if they are called to leave this job. We claim your promise in Romans 8:28 WEB "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God.".
We pray for the salvation of the boss that is harassing our brother/sister, if they are not already a believer.
We ask this all in Jesus' name. Amen.
