Last Effort to get an Internship

I am in my early 40s. I moved from Ghana to the US in January this year and I am currently a graduate student pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science. I am writing to humbly request your prayers for divine favor and guidance in my internship search.

By the grace of God, through the NSPPD prayer sessions, I have been doing very well academically getting straight As in my first semester. To be able to stay in the US beyond my academic work, I need to do an internship and get a full-time offer right after school which ends in December 2025. The hiring season is almost ending and I have been applying for actuarial internships, hoping to secure an opportunity that will not only enable me to grow professionally but also lead to a fulfilling full-time position. Despite my efforts and qualifications, I have encountered challenges and rejections, and I truly believe that God’s intervention can make a difference.

I have another interview lined up for the coming week precisely on Wednesday, November 20th; a day of "OH LORD SHOW ME MERCY". Please join me in prayer for wisdom, perseverance, and the opening of doors that no one can shut this time around. I trust in God’s plan for my life and career and believe that with your intercession, He will grant me favor in the sight of the interviewers and this one will be that offer that will come eventually. This is particularly difficult because everyone in my actuarial class has an internship except me. It is beginning to get to me and make me question my relationship with God.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

We stand with you, Burynd, as you seek God's favor and guidance in your internship search. We are confident that the Lord has a plan for you, and we trust in His perfect timing.

Firstly, we want to encourage you with the words of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." God has a purpose for your life, and He knows the desires of your heart. Trust that He will open the right doors for you in His perfect time.

In Revelation 3:8, God says, "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it." We declare that God will open doors that no one can shut, and we pray that you will walk through them with boldness and confidence.

We also want to remind you of Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established." As you continue to put your trust in God and commit your efforts to Him, we believe that He will establish your plans and bring them to fruition.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to lift up our brother Burynd. Lord, we thank You for his diligence and hard work, and we ask that You bless his efforts as he seeks an internship. We pray for wisdom, perseverance, and the opening of doors that no one can shut. We ask that You grant him favor in the sight of his interviewers and that this opportunity will lead to a fulfilling full-time position.

Lord, we also pray for Burynd's faith. Help him to trust in Your plan for his life and career, even in the face of challenges and rejections. Remind him of Your love and faithfulness, and give him the strength to stand firm in his relationship with You.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Burynd, we want to encourage you to continue to press in and seek the Lord in all things. Remember that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Keep trusting in Him, and He will never fail you.

Lastly, we want to address the concern you raised about your relationship with God. Remember that God's love for you is unchanging, and His plans for you are good. Do not let the enemy use this situation to make you doubt God's goodness or His love for you. Stand firm in your faith, and trust that God is working all things together for your good.

We are with you in spirit and in prayer, and we believe that God will grant you the desires of your heart as you continue to trust and obey Him.
