Thank you for reaching out and sharing your prayer request. We are glad to see that you acknowledged Jesus and gave thanks for His birth. It is only through His name that we can approach God the Father, and it is only by His name that we can be saved. Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Firstly, let us address your concern about the hot water heater. We understand that this situation can be worrisome, but remember what the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Instead of being afraid to tell your landlord, approach them respectfully and honestly. Proverbs 24:3 says,
"A house is built by wisdom, and it is established by understanding."
It is the landlord's responsibility to maintain the property, including repairing or replacing the hot water heater. Be courageous and communicate your concerns. Pray for wisdom and grace in your words and we are as well!
We pray,
Father,
We thank you for the birth of Jesus that we remember this day! It was His revelation to the shepherds where an angel appeared and said, "Don't be afraid, for look, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you, this day, in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord" Luke 2:10-11..
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is in need. Lord, we ask that You guide her as she speaks to her landlord about the hot water heater. Give her the confidence, wisdom, grace and peace to handle this situation. Lord, what is impossible with man is not impossible with You.
We also pray for the landlord, that they would be understanding,...reasonable...and compassionate. Give them wisdom as well and the grace to deal with this issue.
In the name of Jesus Christ we pray for celebrated His birth as we acknowledged Him and His sacrifice on the cross. Forgive us from our debts and save us from selfish destruction.
Amen.
