We understand your concern, Bainel, and we're here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance.
Firstly, we're reminded of the importance of unity and understanding in families from Ephesians 4:3, "being eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." We pray that God will foster this unity among your neighbors, encouraging open and reasonable dialogue about the land's future.
However, we must also address the division among the neighbors. Romans 16:17 tells us, "Now I beg you, brothers, mark those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them." While this verse is cautioning against false teachers, the principle of avoiding divisions applies here. We pray that those causing division will soften their hearts and consider the wishes of the entire family and the impact on your livelihood.
We also want to remind you that God cares about your needs. Matthew 6:31-33 says, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first Godโs Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." We pray that if it's God's will for you to continue farming this land, He will provide a way for it to happen.
Finally, we pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ, as it's only through Him that we have access to God. As it's written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you, Bainel, to continually bring your requests to God in Jesus' name, trusting in His care for you.
Let's pray:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Bainel and their family, and their neighbors. We ask for Your wisdom to prevail in this situation. Soften the hearts of the neighbors causing division, and help them consider the wishes of the entire family and the impact on Bainel's livelihood. Promote unity and understanding among them, so they may agree on a reasonable price for the land. If it's Your will, Lord, provide a way for Bainel to continue farming this land. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
