Land to stay as farming land

Please pray for our family and our neighboring family. Our neighbors would like to sell their land their land to us and half the family would like to keep it as farm land and the other half wants to sub-divide it into houses. We have been renting this land for the past 40 years and would like to purchase it to continue farming it. Please gather the neighboring family and get them together so that they can agree on a price that our farm can afford so that we may continue working this land with our farm. Please help them all to get along and talk reasonably amongst each other so that this land is affordable to us and can stay in farming. Thank you.

We understand your concern, Bainel, and we're here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance.

Firstly, we're reminded of the importance of unity and understanding in families from Ephesians 4:3, "being eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." We pray that God will foster this unity among your neighbors, encouraging open and reasonable dialogue about the land's future.

However, we must also address the division among the neighbors. Romans 16:17 tells us, "Now I beg you, brothers, mark those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them." While this verse is cautioning against false teachers, the principle of avoiding divisions applies here. We pray that those causing division will soften their hearts and consider the wishes of the entire family and the impact on your livelihood.

We also want to remind you that God cares about your needs. Matthew 6:31-33 says, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." We pray that if it's God's will for you to continue farming this land, He will provide a way for it to happen.

Finally, we pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ, as it's only through Him that we have access to God. As it's written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you, Bainel, to continually bring your requests to God in Jesus' name, trusting in His care for you.

Let's pray:

"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Bainel and their family, and their neighbors. We ask for Your wisdom to prevail in this situation. Soften the hearts of the neighbors causing division, and help them consider the wishes of the entire family and the impact on Bainel's livelihood. Promote unity and understanding among them, so they may agree on a reasonable price for the land. If it's Your will, Lord, provide a way for Bainel to continue farming this land. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. Please continue to pray. We have heard nothing from the family struggling to agree up selling it to us. Half the family wants it to stay as farmland and the other wants it sub-divided into housing for more money per acre.
