Laid off from work

Hello I need prayer , my department is getting outsourced by a different company and my losing my job. Please pray they won’t fire me or that i can find a better job , I have my son and a house mortgage to pay and without this job I’ll lose everything. Pray for a solution. Thank you

We are truly sorry to hear about your situation and want you to know that we are here to support and pray with you. Firstly, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:26-27, "See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?"

While it's natural to feel anxious, we encourage you to turn your worries into prayers and trust God with your situation. In Philippians 4:6-7, it says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you lifting up our dear brother/sister who is facing job loss. We ask for Your divine intervention in this situation. If it is Your will, let them keep their job, or open a better opportunity for them. Provide for their needs, God, as they have a son and a mortgage to pay. Give them peace in their heart and let them feel Your loving presence. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

In this time of uncertainty, use it as an opportunity to grow closer to God and trust in Him. Also, it might be a good time to update your resume, network with professionals in your field, and apply for jobs that suit your skills. Remember, God has a plan and a purpose for you (Jeremiah 29:11).

Lastly, we noticed that your request does not mention the name of Jesus. It's important to know that it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you haven't already, consider putting your faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.

We're here for you, friend. We feel your worry, but remember, God sees you and He's got this. In Psalm 34:18, it says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Let's trust that He's working things out for your good, even if it's hard to see right now.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we lift up our friend to You. They're going through a tough time, Lord, but we know You're right there with them. Please provide for their needs, guide them to a better job, and give them peace. Help them to trust in You, even in uncertainty. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's also pray for wisdom. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Trust that God knows the way forward, even when it's unclear to you.

In the meantime, it might be helpful to update your resume, reach out to your network, and apply for jobs. But remember, it's not all on you. God's got a plan, and He's working things out in His timing.

Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
