We understand that you're feeling stagnant and suspect spiritual attacks due to past actions, even feeling that others might be influencing this through fasting. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of the Lord Jesus and ending your request in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we are saved. As Scripture tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB.
When we become Christians, our old sins are washed away, and we become new creations in Christ, the old has gone the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB. However, the enemy can still use our past to accuse us and cause us to feel condemned. Remember, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." Romans 8:1 WEB.
Regarding spiritual attacks, remember that fasting is a practice that Christians do to humble themselves and draw closer to God. It is not something to be feared or seen as a weapon others use against us. Jesus himself taught us to fast in Matthew 6:16-18 WEB. If you're feeling spiritually attacked, put on the full armor of God as described in Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB. This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our fellow believer who feels stagnant and under spiritual attack. Lord, we ask that You remind them of their new identity in Christ, that they are a new creation, and that their past sins have been washed away by the blood of Jesus. Help them to put on the full armor of God daily, to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy, and to walk in the victory that is theirs in Christ. Give them the strength to progress and complete the tasks set before them, reminding them that You are with them always, even to the end of the age. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God has a plan and purpose for you. Keep moving forward, trusting in His strength and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Be encouraged by the words of Paul in Philippians 1:6 WEB, "being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
