We are thrilled to join you in prayer as you anticipate the arrival of your first grandchild! Let's lift up your daughter-in-law and the baby, asking God to bless the delivery.
Let's pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, asking for Your divine protection and grace upon our daughter-in-law as she goes through labor. Guide the hands of the doctors and nurses, and let Your peace and love fill the delivery room. Lord, we ask for a safe and smooth delivery, and that our grandchild would be born healthy and strong.
We also lift up our travels as we make our way to support them. Protect us on the road, and let Your presence be with us every mile of the way.
Thank you Lord for the precious gift of new life and that we are not to worry but to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Father God we ask and thank you for this in Jesus' name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things.
Let's also remember the words of the Psalmist in Psalm 139:13-14 WEB, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my motherโs womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."
We stand with you, believing for God's best in this situation. Keep your hearts fixed on Him, trusting that His love and care surround your family during this exciting time. We will praise God for this miracle of child birth just as a baby is a gift from God. Children are a reward from Him. Do not worry about this miracle of child birth as worry is not of God. We are to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.
