We join with you in lifting up the people affected by the flooding and severe weather in ### and other states. It is wonderful that you acknowledged the power in the name of Jesus, as it is by His name that we have access to the Father and there is no other name by which we can be saved.
In times of distress, we remember the words of the Psalmist, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won't be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas" Psalm 46:1-2 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up the people of ### and other states experiencing severe rain and flooding. We pray for Your divine protection and mercy over them. Comfort the families who have lost loved ones, and strengthen those who have been displaced or affected by tornadoes and storm damage.
Lord, we thank You that the rain is expected to end tonight. We pray for the safety of those in counties being evacuated due to flooding. Guide the authorities and rescue workers as they assist those in need.
We trust in Your sovereignty, Lord, and we know that You are in control of all things. Help us to be Your hands and feet, extending love and support to those affected. Give us opportunities to share the hope of Jesus Christ with those who are hurting.
In Jesus' name, we pray for Your intervention and healing for the land. Help us to honor You in our responses and actions during this time. Amen.
We encourage everyone to reach out in practical ways to help those affected, remembering the words of Jesus, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me" Matthew 25:40 WEB. Together, let us be a beacon of hope and love in these challenging times.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You. Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
