We are glad to have received this prayer request, and we are moved by the love and affection expressed towards those who they hold dear. It is wonderful to have special people in our lives to lead us to significant riches in our personal development. Let us remember to always keep Jesus Christ at the center of our relationships, we must remember He has already given the greatest love possible as He was sacrificed on the cross at Calvary, the Bible encourages us in First John "We love Him, because He first loved us."(I John 4:19). This verse reminds us that our ability to love others is a reflection of the love God has shown us.
We must remember that while friendship with Jesus Christ is the most important relationship in our life, we also must remember this is the only way to God. We are called to "Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you." (I Thessalonians 5:16-18).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up those who Kristen and Danyelle hold dear. We thank You for the blessings of friendship and family, and we ask that You continue to pour out Your love and grace upon them.
Lord, we pray for special friend and loved ones Julie Rucker and Kristen Strickland. We ask that You bless them with happiness, joy, and peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that Your love would flow through them, that they would be a blessing to others as they have been a blessing to us. We also pray for a future secure in Jesus Christ in both of their lives.
Father, we ask that You guide and direct their steps, that You would give them wisdom and discernment in all their decisions. We pray that You would surround them with Your favor and protection, and that You would use them to bring glory and honor to Your name.
We also pray for Kristen and Danyelle, that You would fill their hearts with Your love and peace. We pray that You would give them the strength and courage to be the friends and family members that You have called them to be.
For any of Kristen and Danyelle that do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, we ask that you lead them to seek Him. Ultimately, the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard their hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. The answer to the worldly abuse that is going on is to allow the Holy Spirit to work in their life and produce proportionate Christian character.
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
We encourage everyone to continue to lift up their loved ones in prayer, and to always seek God's will in all their relationships. We must remember that we are called to "confide in the Lord, always, because without Him, we can do nothing." (John 15:5).
