Knowing I am forgiven / be free from regrets

LORD GOD, I pray against all demonic, evil spirits trying to make me feel down, depressed and sad about past sins. I have confessed my sins, repented and know Lord Jesus Christ that You love me, have saved and forgiven me. I think I feel bad as I could have lived my life more holy and have regrets. Please Lord Jesus Christ heal me of these regrets, heal me of always thinking that I could go back in time to change things. You are my Saviour and You have forgiven me. Please help not to be so hard on myself. A Tozer said it well " You have been forgiven so act like it " 1 John 1:9 " If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Romans 8:1 "Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."

Lucy, we stand with you in prayer, knowing that the power of forgiveness through Jesus Christ is real and transformative. It's wonderful that you have confessed your sins and repented, placing your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. God's love and forgiveness are indeed boundless.

Let us remind you of the promise in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." This verse underscores the completeness of God's forgiveness. Know that when God forgives, He does so fully and completely.

Additionally, Romans 8:1 tells us, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." This means that as a follower of Christ, you are no longer condemned by your past. Instead, you are made new in Him.

It's understandable to feel regret, but we must remember that dwelling on the past can steal the joy and freedom that Christ has won for us. A.W. Tozer's words are a fitting reminder: "You have been forgiven so act like it." Embrace the forgiveness you have received and live in the light of God's mercy.

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your unfailing love and the gift of forgiveness through Your Son. We pray for Lucy, that she may fully accept and live in the knowledge of her forgiveness. Lord, remove any feelings of guilt and regret that are not from You. Give her peace and the assurance of Your love. Help her to overcome any lies from the enemy that try to bring her down. Fill her heart with Your joy and hope. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Be encouraged, Lucy. You are a new creation in Christ, and His love for you is unchanging. Live in the freedom that His forgiveness brings, and trust that He has a beautiful plan for your life.

Remember, Lucy, God isn't finished with you yet. He has a beautiful plan for your life, and He wants you to walk in it, free from the chains of regret. Trust in His love and grace, and keep moving forward in Him.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness.
