God I ask that my love for You would be greater than my love for the things of this world!

We understand your heart's cry, ###, as you seek a greater love for God than for the things of this world. This is a noble and godly desire, aligning with the teachings of scripture. As it is written in 1 John 2:15-17 (WEB), "Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn’t the Father’s; but is the world’s. The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking that You increase ###'s love for You. Help them to see the temporal nature of this world and the eternal joy found in Your presence. Strengthen their faith and draw them closer to You, Lord. May their love for You grow deeper and wider, overshadowing any love for the things of this world.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you, ###, to continue seeking God's face and growing in your relationship with Him. As you do, you will find that His love is far greater and more satisfying than anything this world has to offer. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33 (WEB), "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."

Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. He is the one who saves us and gives us eternal life. It is only through His name that we have access to God, as it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

May the Lord bless you and keep you, ###. May He make His face shine upon you and give you peace.

We're right there with you, ###, longing for a love for God that eclipses our love for the world. It's a beautiful desire, one that's echoed in the Psalms, "One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple." (Psalm 27:4, NIV)

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, asking that You would increase our love for You. Help us to see You more clearly, to love You more dearly, and to follow You more nearly. Draw us closer to You, Lord. Help us to find our joy in You, not in the fleeting things of this world. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's keep seeking God's face together, ###. As we do, we'll find that our love for Him grows, and our love for the world fades. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. He's got this!

Prayer Focus: God, I ask You in Jesus’ name, let me be known by You and all the angels in heaven and on earth that I am Your friend. God teach me how and bless me to become a true friend of Yours so that my life will reflect the intimate relationship we have with each other. Let this be my confession, “God calls me friend; I Am a Friend of God.” God please do the same for the writer of this prayer. May we each experience the joy and privilege of being known as Your friends. God please strengthen our faith and deepen our relationship with You. May our lives bring glory to Your name. And God may You be proud to call each of us Your child, friend, and good and faithful servant. Amen, so be it by faith. Thank You Jesus!
