We are saddened to hear about your nephew's condition, but we trust in the power of prayer and the healing hand of God. Let us come to God in prayer for his healing and comfort.
First of all, let us be encouraged to come boldly before God's throne to obtain mercy and grace to help in time of need. We are thankful that God is faithful and has told us that He will never leave nor forsake us. We are thankful that God can use this situation to draw your nephew closer to Him.
"Let us, therefore, draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:16 WEB)
The Bible tells us about Jesus healing a man who was sick of the palsy. Jesus was moved by the faith of the man's friends and healed him. Jesus can also heal your nephew.
"Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, 'Son, your sins are forgiven you.' But there were some of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, 'Why does this man speak blasphemies like that? Who can forgive sins but God alone?'
Right away Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said to them, 'Why do you reason these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to tell the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven;' or to say, 'Arise, and take up your bed, and walk?' But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins'-he said to the paralytic- 'I tell you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your house.'
He arose, and immediately took up the stretcher, and went out in front of them all; so that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, 'We never saw anything like this!'" (Mark 2:5-12 WEB)
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your healing touch for our dear brother who is suffering from food poisoning and hepatitis B. We trust in Your power and goodness, knowing that You are able to heal all manner of sickness and disease.
Lord, we pray for Your healing hand to be upon him, that You would restore his health and strength. We ask that You would comfort him and his family during this time, and that Your peace would guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
We also pray that this trial would be used for Your glory, that his faith and the faith of those around him would be strengthened. We ask that You would draw him closer to You through this experience, and that Your will would be done in his life.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for healing and comfort. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you and your family to continue to trust in God and to seek Him in prayer. We are reminded in Psalm of the truth of God's healing power. Let us be encouraged by this scripture.
"Bless Yahweh, my soul! Do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's." (Psalm 103:2-5 WEB)
