We are truly sorry to hear about the difficult situation you're facing, and we're here to pray and offer biblical encouragement. Firstly, it's important to remember that God cares about every aspect of our lives, including financial struggles. He promises us in First Peter 5:7, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."
However, it's also important to remember that God wants us to be good stewards of our finances. In Romans 13:8, we are told, "Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law." This doesn't mean that borrowing is a sin, but it does emphasize the importance of paying back what we owe.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up our brother/sister in need. Lord, they are overwhelmed by debt and stress, and they need your divine intervention. We pray for your guidance and wisdom, that you would show them the way out of this situation. We pray for your peace, that it would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus as per Philippians 4:7. Because of your son Jesus Christ, we can have a relationship with you.
We also pray for their faith, that it would be strengthened during this time. Help them to trust in you, even in the midst of their struggles. Remind them of your promise in Philippians 4:19, "But my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
If there are any areas where they have not been a good steward of their finances, reveal this to them. Give them the strength to make the necessary changes and the courage to seek help if needed from a non-profit Christian financial counselor. We pray also that they will look to you in Jesus name, as it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is also only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God is with you in this struggle. He will not leave you nor forsake you. Turn to him in prayer, read his word, and seek his will. He is faithful, and he will see you through this. Avoid the world's solutions to the problem and look only to God. If you have not been saved then pray to God to forgive your sins and be saved in Jesus name. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
