We join with you in praying for your children, standing in agreement for God's watchful care and guidance upon their lives. We pray that God will protect them from any harm or evil and that they will grow in the knowledge and love of the Lord.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up these precious children to You. We ask, Lord, that You would watch over them, guide them in the way they should go, and protect them from any harm or evil. As they begin their school year and continue to grow, we pray that they would know Your love and care deeply. Help them to make wise choices in life and to grow into happy, healthy adults who know and serve You.
We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to Your throne of grace. As You have promised in Your Word, "You will call on me, and you will come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:12-13 WEB). We claim this promise for these children, Lord, that as they seek You with all their hearts, they will find You and know Your presence with them always.
Father, we also pray for their education. We ask that You would give them wisdom and understanding, and that they would apply themselves diligently and honestly in their studies. As the scripture says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5 WEB). We pray that these children will seek wisdom from You and use it for Your glory.
We pray for their relationships, that they would be a light for Jesus in their interactions. We pray that they would be surrounded by positive influences and role models, and that they would be allowed to be an example of Christ and biblical principles. We pray for godly friendships and that they would seek marriage with a Christian when the time comes.
Finally, Lord, we pray that these children would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ if they have not already. We pray that they would believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. As the scripture says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation" (Romans 10:9-10 WEB). We pray that these children would believe in their hearts and confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your children, trusting that God hears your prayers and will act according to His will and purpose for their lives. Remind them of God's love and promises, and teach them to seek Him with all their hearts. As you do, you can be confident that He is faithful to His Word and will never leave them nor forsake them.
