We are truly saddened to hear about the struggle you're facing with your children and your ex-wife. We want to remind you that God is faithful, and He cares for you and your children. In times like these, it's crucial to lean on Him and His word.
Firstly, we want to encourage you to continue praying and not to lose heart. God's word tells us in Galatians 6:9 WEB, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap if we don’t faint." Keep praying and trust that God hears your prayers. It might feel like they're hitting the ceiling, but Jesus promised, "Again, I say to you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven." Matthew 18:19 WEB. Find agreement in prayer with other believers and continue to seek God's will.
Regarding your ex-wife's behavior, we must remember that God hates deceit and manipulation. Proverbs 6:16-19 WEB lists seven things that are an abomination to God, including "a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brothers." It's important to stand against such behavior, but also to love and forgive, as Jesus taught us. "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Matthew 6:14-15 WEB.
Concerning your children, it's essential to demonstrate unconditional love and patience. They are likely experiencing a great deal of confusion and hurt. Pray for them and trust that God is working in their hearts. Remember, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6. Continue to be a godly example to them, even if they don't appreciate it now.
As for your upcoming court case, trust that God is sovereign over all authorities. Romans 13:1 WEB reminds us, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God." Pray for wisdom and favor, and trust that God will guide the outcome according to His will.
Lastly, we want to remind you that God is the ultimate judge. He sees the injustices and He will right the wrongs in His time. "Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing." 1 Peter 3:9 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up Cuchthach and his children. Lord, we ask for Your intervention in this situation. Soften the hearts of the children, and let them see the love of their father. Expose any manipulation and deceit, and bring it to an end, Lord. Guide the authorities involved in the upcoming court case, and let Your will be done. Give Cuchthach the strength, patience, and wisdom to navigate this challenging time. Comfort him with Your love, and remind him of Your faithfulness. We rebuke any spirit of despair, doubt or anger and replace it with joy and the fruit of the spirit as listed in Galatians 5:22-24 WEB: "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
