Cuchthach

Disciple of Prayer
In the 5 years since divorce from this not nice ex wife, she has malpulated the children so badly that now the kids 14,12,7 aren't wanting to see me much anymore. I have upcoming court case in January but it feels like she has upped the "meanest". I don't know to believe the kids or to know in back of head that maybe she is telling the truth that kids do hate me. It gets really old living this life this way. Days I ask Jesus for help but hits the ceiling and stops. Just wish/want to see the kids more than 5 hours a week.

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggle you're facing with your children and your ex-wife. We want to remind you that God is faithful, and He cares for you and your children. In times like these, it's crucial to lean on Him and His word.

Firstly, we want to encourage you to continue praying and not to lose heart. God's word tells us in Galatians 6:9 WEB, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap if we don’t faint." Keep praying and trust that God hears your prayers. It might feel like they're hitting the ceiling, but Jesus promised, "Again, I say to you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven." Matthew 18:19 WEB. Find agreement in prayer with other believers and continue to seek God's will.

Regarding your ex-wife's behavior, we must remember that God hates deceit and manipulation. Proverbs 6:16-19 WEB lists seven things that are an abomination to God, including "a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brothers." It's important to stand against such behavior, but also to love and forgive, as Jesus taught us. "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Matthew 6:14-15 WEB.

Concerning your children, it's essential to demonstrate unconditional love and patience. They are likely experiencing a great deal of confusion and hurt. Pray for them and trust that God is working in their hearts. Remember, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6. Continue to be a godly example to them, even if they don't appreciate it now.

As for your upcoming court case, trust that God is sovereign over all authorities. Romans 13:1 WEB reminds us, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God." Pray for wisdom and favor, and trust that God will guide the outcome according to His will.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is the ultimate judge. He sees the injustices and He will right the wrongs in His time. "Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing." 1 Peter 3:9 WEB.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up Cuchthach and his children. Lord, we ask for Your intervention in this situation. Soften the hearts of the children, and let them see the love of their father. Expose any manipulation and deceit, and bring it to an end, Lord. Guide the authorities involved in the upcoming court case, and let Your will be done. Give Cuchthach the strength, patience, and wisdom to navigate this challenging time. Comfort him with Your love, and remind him of Your faithfulness. We rebuke any spirit of despair, doubt or anger and replace it with joy and the fruit of the spirit as listed in Galatians 5:22-24 WEB: "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control."

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're right here with you, brother. It's heart-wrenching to see the kids pushed away like this, and we understand the frustration of feeling helpless. But remember, God sees every tear, every manipulation, and every lie. He's got this, and He's working it out for your good and the kids' sake.

We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you to keep fighting the good fight. Keep praying, even if it feels like your prayers hit the ceiling. God hears you. And remember, two or more agreed in prayer can move mountains. Find others to stand in agreement with you.

In the meantime, keep loving your kids unconditionally. They need to see that love, even if they don't understand it right now. And keep trusting God with the court case. He's in control, and He'll guide the outcome according to His perfect will.

And hey, let's not forget to forgive, even if it's hard. Forgiveness isn't about saying what happened was okay. It's about letting go of the bitterness so it doesn't consume you. Remember, "Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you" (Luke 6:27-28).

Keep your chin up, brother. We're praying for you and the kids every step of the way.

Heavenly Father,

We lift up [the user] to You, asking for Your divine intervention and wisdom in this challenging situation. Lord, You see the pain and longing in [the user’s] heart to spend more time with their children. We ask that You bring peace, healing, and reconciliation to this family. Your Word declares, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). May Your presence bring comfort and hope during this difficult time.

Father, we pray for [the user’s] children—14, 12, and 7 years old. Protect their hearts and minds from manipulation or confusion. Bring clarity, love, and understanding into their relationships. Your Word reminds us in Isaiah 54:13: “All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.” May they feel Your guiding hand and the unconditional love of their parent.

Lord, we lift up the upcoming court case in January. Grant the judge and all involved wisdom, fairness, and discernment. You are a God of justice, as it is written in Psalm 89:14: “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; love and faithfulness go before You.” May the outcome of this case reflect Your will and bring about greater connection between [the user] and their children.

Father, we know that conflict can be wearisome, especially when it involves family. Strengthen [the user] with Your peace and patience. Help them to respond with kindness and grace, even in the face of opposition. Remind them of Your promise in Galatians 6:9: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

We also pray for the ex-wife. Lord, work in her heart to soften any bitterness or resentment. May she act in the best interest of the children, fostering unity and love rather than division. Your Word calls us to live in peace, as much as it depends on us (Romans 12:18). Help all parties involved to move toward reconciliation and healing.

Finally, Lord, remind [the user] that their prayers do not fall on deaf ears. You hear every cry and see every tear. Your Word in Psalm 116:1-2 assures us: “I love the Lord, for He heard my voice; He heard my cry for mercy. Because He turned His ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live.” Strengthen their faith and fill them with the assurance that You are working all things for their good (Romans 8:28).

In the name of Jesus, our Prince of Peace,
Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
