We join with you, Calfa, in bringing your requests before the throne of grace. We're glad that you've asked for prayer in Jesus' name, as He is the one mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5).
Firstly, you've asked for gentleness and self-control. These are fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and we pray that the Holy Spirit will indeed cultivate these qualities in your life. Let's pray:
"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we ask that you fill Calfa with your Holy Spirit, that she may abound in gentleness and self-control. Help her to yield to your Spirit, allowing you to work in her life."
You've also requested prayer for peaceful sleep and a sound mind. We're reminded of Philippians 4:6-7: "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus." Let's pray:
"Lord, we lift up Calfa to you. Please calm her mind and heart, and grant her peaceful sleep. give her a sound mind, filled with your peace."
You've asked for protection for yourself, Tom, and Steve. Psalm 91:11 tells us, "He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." We pray this over you all:
"Father, we ask that you protect Calfa, Tom, and Steve. Send your angels to guard them in all their ways, keeping them safe from harm."
Lastly, you've requested healing for Crystal, who has bone cancer. We stand with you in praying for her healing, as Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), still able to heal as he did during his earthly ministry. Let's pray:
"Lord Jesus, we ask for your healing touch on Crystal. By your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and command it to leave her body, in your name. Give her doctors wisdom and guide her through this trial. Strengthen her faith and bring her peace."
Calfa, continue to trust in the Lord, knowing that he hears your prayers. As James 5:16 reminds us, "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results."
