Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ### in prayer. Keep us, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; protect us from men of violence who plan to trip our feet. As it is written in Psalm 140:4, "Keep me safe, LORD, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from the violent, who devise ways to trip my feet."

O LORD, we declare, "You are our God." Hear our cry for mercy, as it is written in Psalm 140:6, "I say to the LORD, 'You are my God.' Hear, LORD, my cry for mercy."

Let the heads of those who surround us be covered with the trouble their lips have caused, as it is written in Psalm 140:9, "Those who surround me proudly rear their heads; may the trouble they cause engulf them."
