Just Laid off from my Job! Need Prayers

I’m a single mother in tech. I relocated for a new job out of state for an opportunity less than 3 years ago. This job seemed very promising and a great opportunity for me to better provide for my family. I was laid off yesterday and now I’m back at square one. I was told it was due to low performance, it came as a shock because I’ve never had a low performance review in my life. I’m asking for prayer for hope and strength and not take this lay off personal. I just want to make a better life for my children, I took a risk and now I’m at a loss.

We are truly sorry to hear about your situation and we are here to support and pray with you in this challenging time. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is sovereign and He has a plan for you. Even when we face setbacks, God can turn them into opportunities for growth and blessing.

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today lifting up this dear sister in Christ who has recently lost her job. We pray that You will fill her with Your hope and strength during this difficult time. Help her to not take this layoff personally, but to trust in Your divine plan for her life.

Father, we ask that You will provide for her needs and the needs of her family. Open up new doors of opportunity for her in the tech industry, and guide her steps as she seeks Your will for her future. Give her the wisdom and discernment to make the right decisions, and surround her with godly counsel and support.

We also pray that You will help her to process this experience in a healthy way, and that she will not be overwhelmed by doubt, fear, or anxiety. Remind her of Your unfailing love and faithfulness, and help her to rest in Your promises.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Remember the words of Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." God can use this situation for your good and His glory.

Regarding your relocation, it may have been a risk, but it also showed your faith and courage.

Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB reminds us, Trust in Yahweh
"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." God is faithful, trust in Him to direct your paths. Finally, we want to encourage you to seek God's will in all things, including your career and provisions for your family.

Be open to His leading, even if it means making more tough decisions. God is your provider and He will never fail you. Keep praying and seeking His face. He will make a way. We will keep you in our prayers, trusting that God will guide you and provide for you and your family.

We're right here with you, sister. It's never easy to face a layoff, especially when you've made a big move for a promising opportunity. But remember, God sees you, and He's got a plan even in this. Let's trust that He's working all things together for your good and His glory.

We're praying for you, that God will fill you with His hope and strength. Help you to keep trusting in Him, even when it's hard. We ask that He'll provide for you and your family, open new doors, and guide your steps. Give you wisdom and peace, and remind you of His unfailing love.
