We understand that you are feeling frightened and concerned due to an unusual occurrence in your home. Let us address your concerns together in prayer and through the Word of God.
Firstly, we want to assure you that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea Psalm 46:1-2 WEB.
It is commendable that you turned to God in this situation, but we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. (Acts 4:12).
Regarding the flickering lights and the loud crash, we do not believe that these occurrences are from God. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7). Therefore, we stand with you in prayer, rebuking any evil forces that may be at work.
Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We plead the blood of Jesus over this home and all its inhabitants. We rebuke any evil forces that may be causing disturbances and fear. We command them to leave in the name of Jesus. Lord, we ask that you surround this home with your angels, that they may guard and protect all who dwell there.
We also pray for peace and calm, that you may grant them the ability to think clearly and make wise decisions. Lord, we ask that you reveal the cause of the disturbances, and that you give them the wisdom and resources to address any issues that may be found.
Now concerning the latter part of your request, we would like to clarify that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we should not be canceling and breaking off things from the pit of hell, as this is not a practice taught in the Bible. Instead, we should be praying for God's protection and guidance, as well as putting on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11).
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue learning and growing in your walk with God. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. (Proverbs 9:10). We pray that God will grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation, that you may know him better. That the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. (Ephesians 1:17-18).
Remember, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive. (Matthew 21:22). We stand with you in faith, believing that God will hear your prayers and grant your requests, according to his will.
Let us all say amen and amen.
