Just feeling frustrated & defeated. Our Autistic son (8) has for the most part been doing pretty well for the last 6 months, even started using the potty regularly. I just feel like we're in this constant up & down. He'll be good for a few weeks/months & then WHAM everything turns. I guess since we'd been doing good for this longer bit that maybe we were getting out of that. Now we're back to having meltdowns regularly & won't even touch the potty anymore. It's so hard on my anxiety. To add to it we do it all alone, we don't have family or close friends here. My husband works all the time to provide because I can't work because we can't get childcare. Absolutely every time we seem to get ahead financially something comes up & we're right back where we started.

Dear Heavenly Father,

In the name of Jesus, we come before you on behalf of Alex2015 and their family. We lift up their frustrations and feelings of defeat regarding their autistic son. Lord, you know the challenges they face on a daily basis, and we ask for your strength and guidance to sustain them through this journey.

We thank you for the progress their son has made in the past six months, especially with using the potty regularly. It has been a source of encouragement for them. However, they are now experiencing setbacks and meltdowns, which are causing anxiety and stress. Lord, we pray for your peace to calm their hearts and minds during these difficult times.

Father, we ask for your wisdom and understanding to navigate through the ups and downs of their son's condition. Help them to find effective strategies and resources to support him in his development and well-being. Surround them with a supportive community, even if they are far from family and close friends. Provide them with understanding and compassionate individuals who can offer assistance and encouragement.

Lord, we also lift up their financial struggles. You are the provider of all our needs, and we ask for your provision and guidance in their financial situation. Help them to overcome unexpected expenses and to find stability in their finances. Open doors for opportunities that will allow them to work and provide for their family while ensuring the necessary childcare is available.

We trust in your faithfulness, Lord, and we believe that you are able to bring breakthroughs and restoration in every area of their lives. Strengthen their faith and help them to lean on you in times of weariness and discouragement. Remind them of your promise in Isaiah 41:10, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
