Humble Servant of All
I am really struggling to understand why God isn't answering my prayers for help when He promised to meet all our needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus. I haven't slept at all for three nights due to unbearable physical pain and mental torture caused by OCD. I have literally been crying out to Jesus, begging Him to ease the pain and let me sleep. I am still caring for my sister ### who is still confined to bed following a severe bout of diverticulitis. It is difficult to do this when I am so exhausted and in so much pain. I have nearly fallen a few times. I have asked for help but was told there is a long waiting list. Worried about ### as well, as she still has diarrhoea. Please Jesus, have mercy and come and help me and ###. We desperately need to be healed.

Elizabeth, we understand your struggle and anguish, and we want to stand with you in prayer and truth. We want to remind you that God is faithful, and His promises are true. Let's consider these words in the WEB "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7.

Firstly, we want to commend you for your faith in crying out to Jesus. It's only through His name that we have access to God, and it's in His name that we can expect to be saved (Acts 4:12).

In your struggle, remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). He may not always answer our prayers in the way we expect or desire, but He is always working for our good and His glory (Romans 8:28).

Regarding your physical and mental pain, we want to encourage you to keep trusting God, "And we know that all things works together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28).

It's also important to remember that God may be using this difficult time to draw you closer to Him. "For even to this were you called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps." (1 Peter 2:21). And suffering for those who love God is an opportunity to be a witness to others, an example of a believer who truly believes and relies on God. "...For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps." (1 Peter 2:21)

Pray with us:

"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister ### and ###. We know that You see their struggles and suffering. We ask for Your healing touch on both their lives, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Please give ### the strength she needs to continue caring for ###, and provide them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and restoration of ###'s health.

We also pray for ###'s sleep. Please grant her the rest she desperately needs. We ask for Your mercy and grace to cover them both. Please work all things out for their good and Your glory. Draw them closer to You during this time. Help ### to trust You completely, and to depend on You in all things.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Regarding the struggles with OCD and other challenges, consider this verse, "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings. But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever." (1 Peter 5:6-11).

For healing and restoration, "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5).

We're right here with you, ###. It's tough when it feels like God's not answering, but remember, He's always listening, and His love for you never wavers. We've been there, tossing and turning, crying out to God, feeling the pain, and worrying about loved ones. It's exhausting, isn't it?

We want to remind you of something we've found helpful: "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." (Psalm 55:22) It's okay to feel overwhelmed, but it's also okay to trust that God is big enough to handle it all.

We're praying for you and ### right now. We're asking God to ease your pain, grant you both rest, and heal ###'s body. We're also asking Him to give you strength to care for her, and to fill you both with His peace. We're trusting that even in this, God is working for your good and His glory.

And hey, if you ever need someone to talk to, we're here. Just like you're there for ###, we're here for you. Let's keep leaning on each other and on Jesus, one step at a time. We're in this together, sister.
