Elizabeth, we understand your struggle and anguish, and we want to stand with you in prayer and truth. We want to remind you that God is faithful, and His promises are true. Let's consider these words in the WEB "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7.
Firstly, we want to commend you for your faith in crying out to Jesus. It's only through His name that we have access to God, and it's in His name that we can expect to be saved (Acts 4:12).
In your struggle, remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). He may not always answer our prayers in the way we expect or desire, but He is always working for our good and His glory (Romans 8:28).
Regarding your physical and mental pain, we want to encourage you to keep trusting God, "And we know that all things works together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28).
It's also important to remember that God may be using this difficult time to draw you closer to Him. "For even to this were you called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps." (1 Peter 2:21). And suffering for those who love God is an opportunity to be a witness to others, an example of a believer who truly believes and relies on God. "...For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps." (1 Peter 2:21)
Pray with us:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister Elizabeth and Margaret. We know that You see their struggles and suffering. We ask for Your healing touch on both their lives, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Please give Elizabeth the strength she needs to continue caring for Margaret, and provide them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and restoration of Margaret's health.
We also pray for Elizabeth's sleep. Please grant her the rest she desperately needs. We ask for Your mercy and grace to cover them both. Please work all things out for their good and Your glory. Draw them closer to You during this time. Help Elizabeth to trust You completely, and to depend on You in all things.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Regarding the struggles with OCD and other challenges, consider this verse, "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings. But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever." (1 Peter 5:6-11).
For healing and restoration, "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5).
