We understand your situation, bobr69, and we're here to pray and provide guidance with you. Serving on a jury is a civic duty, but we also understand that it can cause some apprehension and disruption to daily life. Let's bring this before the Lord together.
Firstly, we want to encourage you with these words from the Apostle Paul: "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God" (Romans 13:1, WEB). Serving on a jury is a way to be subject to the authorities God has established.
However, we also recognize your desire not to serve at this time. We pray that if it is God's will, you will be excused from this duty. Jesus teaches us to pray according to God's will, saying, "Not my will, but your will be done" (Luke 22:42, WEB).
Let's pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your will to be done in bobr69's life. We pray that if it is Your will, they would be excused from this jury duty. However, if it is Your plan for them to serve, we ask that You give them wisdom, discernment, and peace throughout the process. Comfort their heart and remove any anxiety they may feel. We trust in Your sovereign plan. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
