We are with you in spirit, lifting up Julie T and you before the throne of grace. We commend you for acknowledging the power in the name of Jesus, as it is written, "And whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." John 14:13-14 WEB.
Visiting someone in the hospital can be a source of encouragement and comfort for both you and Julie T. Remember the words of our Lord, "I was sick, and you visited me." Matthew 25:36 WEB. As you go, trust that the Holy Spirit will guide your words, for it is written, "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you." John 14:26 WEB.
Pray with us:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your divine guidance and wisdom for our dear friend as they visit Julie T in the hospital. Lord, let Your healing power be at work in Julie T's life, and may the medication she is taking be effective and bring restoration to her mind and body.
Father, guide our friend's words and actions during the visit. May they bring happiness, hope, and comfort to Julie T. Help them to be sensitive to her needs and to reflect Your love and compassion.
Lord, we also pray for Julie T's mental illness and any other health concerns in Jesus' name. We have faith in Your promise that, "He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5 WEB.
In Jesus' name, we pray for Julie and our friend.
Amen.
Trust in the Lord, and remember that He cares for both of you. "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7 WEB.
As a final thought, remember that mental illness is a challenge for the person affected and the people around them. It can be very difficult to bear. Continue to be a source of comfort and support for Julie T, just as you have been. Also, when seeking medical care, look for doctors that support and understand mental illness as well as other medical problems.
