Steven Bobb, we understand your concern about the focus on abortion in the upcoming election. As believers, we must evaluate this issue through the lens of God's Word. The Bible clearly values human life, as Psalm 139:13-14 (WEB) reminds us, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."
However, we must also remember that our ultimate hope lies not in political parties or elections, but in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is through His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for the sanctity of life. We ask for Your guidance in this election, that Your will be done. Help us to stand for Your values, and to love others as You have loved us. We pray for a great awakening in our nation, that many would turn to You and find salvation in Jesus Christ. In His precious name, we pray. Amen."
While it is important to vote according to biblical principles, let us not forget our calling to share the Gospel and make disciples. We should be known for our love and compassion, as Jesus taught us in John 13:35 (WEB), "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
In all things, let us seek God's will and trust in His sovereignty. Remember, our true citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:20, WEB).
