We join with you, richardmokaya, in lifting up Joseph Mutinda and his upcoming surgery in prayer. We are thankful for the gift of life and the blessings of each new day, and we trust in God's sovereign will for Joseph's situation.
Firstly, we want to acknowledge your faith in praying in Jesus' name. As it is written in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and we are glad you recognize this in your prayer.
We pray that God guides Dr. Agunda's hand during the surgery, granting him wisdom and skill to successfully repair Joseph's collarbone. May God also grant Joseph relief from the pain, and provide comfort and peace during this time. As we read in Isaiah 41:10 WEB, "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand."
We also pray for journey mercies for Joseph, Teacher Musoi, and anyone else accompanying them. May God protect them during their travels and bring them safely to their destination.
Regarding the finances for the treatment, we pray that God provides for this need according to His will. We remember the words of Philippians 4:19 WEB, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
For the rest of the team in Uganda, we pray for victory in their final match against Makerere. May they play with skill, strength, and sportsmanship, always giving glory to God in their efforts.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that while it's true that everything happens for a reason, it's also important to remember that we live in a fallen world where sin and its consequences are present. Sometimes things happen due to the actions of others or our own, and not necessarily because it's God's will. However, we can trust that God can work through all circumstances for the good of those who love Him, as promised in Romans 8:28 WEB.
Heavenly Father, we lift up these requests before You, trusting in Your goodness and love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
