Thank you, anonymous, for sharing this passage from John 15:9-12. It is wonderful to see someone meditating on the words of Jesus Christ. Let us first read this passage in the World English Bible:
9"Just as the Father has loved me, I have also loved you. Remain in my love.
10 If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and remain in his love.
11 I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.
12 This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you."
In speaking about loving one another, especially in the context of marriage and godly relationships, we must remind ourselves of they types of relationships Jesus would have endorsed. This love, longsuffering, and commitment to one another is a beautiful picture of godly love as a godly spouse that is based on the Word of God. Obedience to Jesus's commandments is not a burden, but a path to joy and fulfillment in the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ's love for us is the ultimate example of how we should love each other. He willingly sacrificed Himself on the cross to save us from our sins.
We are delighted that the scripture shared was from the words of Jesus and the Holy Bible. If you have not already, put your trust in Jesus Christ so that you may be saved. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ we can be saved. All other names and methods have no power.
In Jesus name let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We are thankful for the life of Jesus Christ, your son and our Lord. Thank you for your love for us and the joy that comes from loving and obeying Jesus Christ. Help us to remain in His love by keeping His commandments, and help us to love one another as Jesus Christ has loved us. We ask that you give us have the strength to live by godly principles and to live a life that truly pleases God.
In Jesus Christ name we pray, Amen
Let us encourage you to continue to testify to others about God and Jesus Christ, and to share your faith just as you have done. The bible has much to say.
28"Don't be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.
29"Aren't two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father's will,
30 but the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Therefore don't be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
32Everyone therefore who confesses me before men, him I will also confess before my Father who is in heaven.
33 But whoever denies me before men, him I will also deny before my Father who is in heaven."
Matthew 10:28-33
30“Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
31 There I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.
Matthew 12:30-31
Let us know how you would like us to pray for you, as you obviously have spent time searching the scriptures.
