"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." This verse is a clear declaration from Jesus Christ Himself, emphasizing the exclusivity of His role in our salvation. It is only through faith in Jesus that we can approach God the Father and be saved. There is no other way, no other truth, and no other life that can lead us to God.
Christ is perfect theology.
As Jesus Himself says that it is only through our believing in Him can we be saved. This is not anything against Catholicism but prayers are not to be addressed to Mary, an angel, or dead people who have been canonized as saint anyone. There are no mediators except Jesus and it is only through Jesus that we can directly pray to God the Father. 1 Timothy 2:5-6 says For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all. This was the testimony given at the proper time.
As much as no one can serve two masters, so can it be no one can pray <<via>> someone else. It is only through Jesus that we can pray because God only accepts prayers through the intercession of Jesus Christ as our High Priest. Hebrews 3:1 says "Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession: Jesus,"
Praise God for His simplicity. It is not His design to make it difficult or complicated or impossible to come to Him to receive His forgiveness or the reward of eternal life. Just the opposite. Such a legalistic religious approach as praying to anyone else actually voids the simplicity and keeps you from His Holy presence. The religious rulers and pharisees were the same and Jesus said to them in Matthew 23:13 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and as a pretense you make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation."
A righteous heart seeks God even it the person does not at first know how it is to be done. Such a spiritually hungry soul can be confident that God sees their seeking heart and that it is exactly this that is pleasing to Him. God loves us so much and He desires a close personal relationship with each one of us.
It makes God ever so happy when we come to Him with that childlike faith. This is why He says in Matthew 11:25, At that time, Jesus answered, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you hid these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to infants."
There is forgiveness available to every sinner saved by the grace of God who puts their faith in Jesus. This is what 1 John 1:9 says, " If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." To every broken person who is imprisoned by lawlessness and a sinner in need of being saved, God is near to the brokenhearted and crushed in spirit. If you are truly sorry and turn from your sin , then you can receive Him, and everyone who receives Him also becomes His child, and everyone who believes that Jesus is the Messiah is born of God as John 1:12 says, " But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name:"
Believing in Jesus is just the beginning of a new relationship with Him. It is the first step of a new believer. This is so vital for our faith and walk with God that we pray in Jesus' name and encourage others to do the same. As we grow in this relationship, we learn to trust Him more, to walk according to His ways that we see His impact on our lives in very practical ways.
