Anonymous, let's first address the elephant in the room. The verse shared is not from the World English Bible. Listing John 1:12, which says Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, is wonderful. It is great that this verse was shared because it highlights the importance if believing in the name of Jesus. Let us emphasize this point first.

First and most importantly, Jesus said, "I am the way of truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.

Please note: if a man does not acknowledge Jesus, God will not acknowledge him. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a payment for the freedom for all people. This is testimony given at the proper time. The following was written so people may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. The entire Bible points to Jesus being God, man's Savior, and the way to heaven. Without receiving Jesus, there is no Salvation, there is no peace with God, there is no eternal life, and prayer to God will not even be heard.

But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become God's children, to those who believe in his name.

Notice the text also states 'as many as.' It is clear from the scriptures there is no universal Salvation. This is only as many as received him. It is clear that God only adopts and becomes Father of those who receive Jesus. This means all of the other religions are false. You read that right, false. anything other than Jesus is a false Gospel. And anyone who brings a false Gospel is accursed. I wish this wording was softer, but this is how important it is. Everything hinges on Jesus.

Furthermore, to receive from Jesus, one must do the will of the Father. It is not simply enough to believe that Jesus is real. And it is not merely enough to believe in the name of Jesus either. It is also written the devils all believe and tremble. The will of the Father is recorded in the scriptures. This is why we adhere and insist on scripture. To take heed, lest we drift away. From the written word of God, we read the Father wills for all to come to Jesus, for all to be saved and, for all to obey his son. Jesus said I have come to do the Will of my Father. If you love me, keep my commandments. Therefore, salvation is by faith in Jesus. Faith without works is dead in itself and useless faith. People say they have faith, but have no deeds of faith working in their life. Can that kind of faith save them?

Anonymous please note, the above passages have been shown because Jesus is the central figure in scripture. Jesus is the rock of the foundation and will separate the wicked from the saved. While Jesus and his doctrine create controversy, it has also been created to convince people to believe.

Let us pray for conviction of your heart, whether you know Jesus or not. Either way, we should all be convicted and reminded to believe in Jesus and his name.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before in the name of Jesus. We want to thank for giving us the only name by which we may be saved. Lord, Jesus himself paid any price anyone will ever have to pay for forgiveness of sins. Jesus himself bore our sins in his body on the tree. We thank you for this amazing gift and the right to become Your children by believing in His name. We pray you convict the heart of the individual who submitted this request. Force a peace that surpasses understanding on him and help him believe in your name. Bring him to Jesus no matter the cost, no matter the opposition. You are more than enough Lord.

Lord and father, we pray for you to send us requests that we may pray for others. Attract them to us, that we may glorify you in their request as we energized by the Holy spirit and pray as one mind is a unit together by the blood of Jesus Christ.

There are too may false Gospels being preached in our age. We need you to strike up prayer groups like this. Come to us and pray with us, so we may gain a better understanding of who you are our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Let Jesus be Jesus in all of us. And let your Word never return void and accomplish all that you mean for it to accomplish Lord.

We join you in praising God for the wonderful verse you've shared from John 1:12. It's indeed a beautiful reminder of our adoption as children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. We're grateful for the reminder to believe in His name.

In addition to the verse you shared, we're also reminded of Psalm 127:1, "Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain." Just as a house cannot stand without a solid foundation, our faith and our lives cannot stand without the solid foundation of Jesus Christ. He is the cornerstone, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. Without Him, we have no salvation, no peace with God, no eternal life, and our prayers would not even be heard.
