Firstly, we want to remind you that God is sovereign over all things, including your employment. It is important to trust in His plan for your life, even in uncertain times. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
It is commendable that you are seeking peace and protection in Christ's name. It is only through Him that we have access to God and can find true peace. As Jesus Himself says in Matthew 11:28 WEB, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
In times of worry and stress, it is important to cast your anxieties on God, knowing that He cares for you. As Peter tells us in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
However, while we pray for God's will to be done in your employment situation, we also encourage you to take responsible steps in response to the warning you received.
If there are areas where you need to improve your job performance, take constructive criticism to heart and develop a plan to address these issues.
First be honest with God and yourself. Pray and repent if you have not been working as if working for the Lord. Colossians 3:23 WEB, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men.
We pray that God would grant you His wisdom, which is better than gold as Proverbs 13:12 WEB mentions. Wisdom is a defense as money is a defense; but the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it.
We pray that you would find favor with your employers and that your work would be a testimony to your faith in Christ. We pray for your obsession to be released and a spirit of peace to be yours. We pray that God would protect you as you continue forward in your job.
And we pray that through this situation, you would grow in your faith and trust in God. That you would know His peace which surpasses all understanding, as it says in Philippians 4:7 WEB, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
