Briesarroth, thank you for bringing this request to our attention. We are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB) "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Firstly, we notice that the name of Jesus is missing from this request. It is only by His name that we can approach God the Father. Acts 4:12 (WEB) says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together for Erik.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Erik. We pray that You would open doors for him at Turner Industry, granting him favor and the opportunity to interview. We ask that You would prepare the hearts of those who will conduct the interview, and give Erik the wisdom and confidence to respond to their questions with excellence.
However, we know Your will is perfect. If it is not Your will for Erik to have this job, we pray that You would provide a better opportunity for him, something that aligns more with Your purpose for his life. We thank You for the promise in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."
Lastly, we pray for job security, not just for Erik, but for all of us. We remember the words of Matthew 6:33-34 (WEB), "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
It is in the mighty name of Jesus Christ that we present this prayer, Amen.
Briesarroth, we encourage Erik to continue trusting in the Lord, knowing that He is faithful to provide for His children. We also encourage Erik to make sure that he is in a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. We remind him of Romans 10:9 "that if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (WEB). Jesus is the only way to the Father.
Let us continue to support Erik in prayer, believing that God will guide his steps and provide for his needs according to His will.
