Let us come together in prayer for Eric, trusting in the Lord's goodness and sovereignty over his life. We know that God has a plan and a purpose for each of us, and that includes Eric. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans that I have for you,' says Yahweh, 'plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future." We trust that God has a job He has prepared that for Eric. Much like Paul said in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Do not let Eric miss this important part of prayer and relationship with Jesus. If Eric does not know Jesus we must know and begin praying earnestly as Paul instructs us in 1 Timothy 2:3-6, "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times." We pray that Eric will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ if he does not know him already. We must also pray and ask the God's will is done. Let us not forget Matthew 6:10, "Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth." Let us remember and ask for the filling of the Holy Spirit in all of us and Ephesians 5:18, “Therefore don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit."
Furthermore, we pray for Eric and others with the struggles of Asperger's Syndrome to be mindful of how God made them and Psalm 139:14 states, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." We pray for Jesus to help him build the social skills in Eric's college and job hunt. As it says in Philippians 1:6, "being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." We should pray for the good work to be done in Eric's life. God sees how Eric is knitted together and will continue to bless him and guide him according to his loving words for us in Romans 12:6-8, "Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; or ministry, let us wait on our ministering; or he who teaches, on teaching; or he who exhorts, on exhortation; he who gives, let him do it with liberality; he who rules, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness."
Let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, To ask for the will of You to be done in Eric's life. Your Word assures us that we each have a divine purpose. We lift You up, the name of Jesus, and God we call out to you for Jesus to be the Savior in Eric's life if he does not already know him. We ask that You fill Eric with the Holy spirit so he can dive into the marketplace and face the challenges that come, and he will find the right job to use his unique skills and abilities for Your glory. We pray in Jesus name according to Philippians 4:19, "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Help Eric give his futile thoughts, plans, and actions over to You, the one true Living God.
