We are truly sorry to hear about your job situation and want to lift you up in prayer, Empulsorerth. We trust that God has a plan and purpose for you, and we know that that includes finding a job. This is really an important part of our existence on this earth. God gave Adam his first job of naming the animals and work is clearly an important part of our being. And even though it is hard sometimes, being content with the job we are given can be difficult. The Apostle Paul told the church in Thessalonica that they should work as if their life depended on it. Clearly, even in the Bible, work and having a job is an important part of our human experience.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is faithful and that He provides for His children. He promises to meet our needs (Philippians 4:19: "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.") According to James 5:11 ("Behold, we call them blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job, and have seen the Lord in the end, and how the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.") He will help you find a job and be with you every step of the way. We are praying and believing this in Jesus' name. You did not mention Jesus in your request but we encourage you to know that it is only in the name of Jesus that God can provide the help you need. His name has been given above every name under heaven by which we can be saved, and as the name above every name all things were made by Him and for Him. Since it is only by His grace that you have been saved, it is only through faith in Him that you are able to have a relationship with God to ask anything in prayer. If you want to receive this free gift of salvation so that God will hear your prayers, and so you can spend eternity with Him when you leave this earth, then you simply need to pray and ask Jesus to come into your heart and save you from the penalty for your sins. He will accept you with open arms.
Since you said that you are suffering, this is appropriate because we are called to wait on God's timing. But we will pray and ask God to provide a job for you with the income and benefits you and your family need in Jesus' name. But also we remind you that the sluggard fails to find work because he does not even try. So get out there and apply for that job opening that you are qualified for or even may be overqualified for. If you are willing to do this and get your résumé together, God will bless this effort and it will show your heart and intention to accept the employment God will provide. Proverbs 6:6-11 ("Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: which having no chief, officer, or ruler, prepares her food in the summer, and gathers her provision in the harvest. How long will you sleep, sluggard? when will you arise out of your sleep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: so will your poverty come as a robber, and your want as an armed man.")
It is important to remember in this regard that it is the Lord's will and timing that is best for our lives, not our own. We believe that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1) in Jesus name. He is our provider. He owns everything in the universe and cares for even the sparrows and the hair on your head.
We urge you, Empulsorerth, not to grow weary in well doing, for you will reap a harvest if you do not give up. Galatians 6:9, and be sure to give Him thanksgiving for all things. Ask God what you should be doing while looking for this job and how you can better serve Him during this time.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Jesus, we lift up Empulsorerth to You, knowing that You care for him and have a plan for his life. We ask that You open doors for a job that fits the needs of his life, and give him the strength and patience to wait on Your timing. Help him to trust in You and to seek Your will in all things. Give him the wisdom to know what he should be doing while waiting for Your timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to keep seeking God, applying for job openings, and trusting in His perfect plan for your life. This is especially important as we see the wicked roaming everywhere. He will deliver you as He did the children of Israel from Pharaoh. Be strong, be very courageous, and be alert to take the job He has for you. When the door opens, walk right in as Joshua did when the walls fell down before him.
