Spouse has been unemployed for quite some time. Has an offer on the table, but is inexplicably waffling on it. Maybe it’s not God’s will and Spouse is feeling that… or maybe they are just scared or confused and will make a mistake if they pass this up. Please pray for discernment, clarity, and for God’s will to ultimately be done. Thank you.

Let us join together in prayer for JMJHMM and their spouse who is facing uncertainty regarding a job offer. It is important to seek God's will in all things, including our employment. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Firstly, we notice that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" So, let us pray in the name of Jesus, trusting in His guidance.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up JMJHMM and their spouse. Lord, we ask for Your divine guidance and discernment regarding the job offer. If it is Your will, may they clearly see the path You have chosen for them. If not, may they have the courage to trust in Your greater plan. Remove any fear or confusion, and replace it with Your perfect peace. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage JMJHMM and their spouse to spend time in prayer and reflection, seeking God's will together. It is important to discuss and explore the reasons behind any hesitation, whether it is fear, confusion, or a genuine sense that God is leading them elsewhere. Remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB).

Trust in the Lord, and do not lean on your own understanding. God has a plan for you both, and He will make your paths straight. Stand firm in your faith, and let the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB).

In all things, we pray that God's will be done, and that JMJHMM and their spouse will find comfort and clarity in His divine guidance.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
