Cladarth, we join you in your petition, trusting that God has a purpose and plan for your life, especially during your job search. We are reminded of the promise in Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
God has a perfect employment meant for us, or may direct us to another path. Living in Gods will means praying for His guidance, but also being obedient and ready to serve as He leads us.
Sometimes, when there is an issue needing to be addressed in our life, the Lord may use this means of directing us to an area that may not be aligned with Biblical principles. This may be within our mind, heart, or actions. Prayer with humble and sincere hearts is key when asking for direction. In Psalm 139:23-24, Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
First we must look at our motivation behind our request. What situation are we desiring His intervention in. Job. Children. Family member relationships. Money or finances. Wisdom. No matter the circumstance, motivations play a key role in hearing from God.
Living according to Gods will, including in our words and actions, is vital to being in the place we need to be to secure His direction and opportunity for employment. If we are living with, or dating, someone instead of seeking godly spouse, we are not living according to His will or the principles found within His word. In absense of Gods guidance, confusion and chaos will be found, which could be a cause for why employment is not being provided or found.
Continue to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. Pray daily for the Lord to guide you, and for Him to protect you and your children.
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up Cladarth and their family. We pray for Your guidance and provision in their job search, and ask that You direct their steps according to Your will. Remove any hindrances or blocks in their life that may interfere with Your intervention. Help them to trust in You completely, and to not lean on their own understanding or weariness. We ask for Your constant direction and that you make a way when there is no way. We thank You for hearing our prayer, which we ask in Jesus name.
While we wait for God to answer this prayer, we encourage you to continue in in Proverbs 4:20-23,My son, attend to my words. Turn your ear to my sayings. Do not let them out of your sight. Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and health to their whole body. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life. Put away from you a perverse mouth, and put corrupt lips far from you. Let your eyes look straight ahead. Fix your gaze directly before you. Make the path of your feet level. Let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right hand nor to the left. Remove your foot from evil.
