Job Promotion

I have prayed to move into a supervisor postion for years, and am now currently in that position only temporarily. There is testing a process for the same position but to be placed in another city, but still within our company. I am currently waiting to see if the person I am holding the position for now will decide to come back to work or go ahead and retire, which will probably be within the next few months. I do not know if I should put in for the testing postion now, or have faith and wait on the Lord for this position. I'm worried that I am trying to rush something that God doesn't want for me just yet. If I do not do well in the testing process in the other city, I'm also afraid it will reflect poorly on this position if my boss decides to retire. Even though I have been covering for a few months, due to equal employment opportunity, they have to have a testing process, I can't just be promoted. I have prayed and yet I hear nothing... to proceed or to wait. I am running out of time, the process closes in 2 days.

I'm worried I'm not prepared for the process out of town, as it is geared towards their geographical area. I know that God is an awesome God, that will make a way when there is no way. I am just learning today there is an added element that I did not have prepared and I may not even be able to make the interview due to staffing issues. Family and friends are pushing me, saying they don't want me to miss the opportunity..... but I also know that satan rushes you. I want to do what God wants me to do, because His way is perfect. I am tired of having to reroute to get back to the road that God wants me to be on.

I have been reading a book "God where are you? and it says that When in dry times , one of our temptations will be to do it our way, rather than waiting on God's way
(I have always done that and it never turns out the way I planned) "
This might be using God's power to get something before God's timing. It also says There will be times when we think, I have got to have an answer now; if I do nothing everything will fall apart! It says that if God does not seem to be saying anything to you, that does not mean he isn't speaking to you! The message He is "communicating" is "You don't need to do anything now" In those situations, we must wait on the Lord and not force things. "Wait patiently on the Lord. Be brave and courageous . Yes, wait patiently for the Lord Psalm 27:14..... I just don't know if this opportunity that just came up was the Lord making a way.... or satan trying to rush me. So please pray for me that the Lord will reveal to me exactly what I am supposed to do

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.

Unfortuneatly when I posted this there were 2 days left for the deadline to apply for this job. I had been waiting for a sign, but to the best of my knowledge there was nothing but anxiety....and everyone I know telling me to put in for it. The day it was due, my thumbdrive that I had all the information on was erased, idk if the thumbdrive was damaged or it had a virus??? I know I could have tried to start over but there wasn't enough time and I took that as a sign, that was Friday. At church on Sunday the sermon was on not being discouraged and taking chances etc... and my friend said that message was for me...and although I agree...I believe Gods timing is perfect, and if that was the message I was supposed to hear that would convince me to put in for the job...he would have made sure I heard the message the Sunday before ....not 2 days after the job closed. Regardless, I didn't put in for the job. Now I will continue to wait on the Lord. Thank you for those that proayed for me....I don't know what I can't hear Gods voice, or see the signs HE wants me to see.
