Thank you for bringing your requests before God, Echthomos. We join you in prayer, seeking God's will for your new job and financial stewardship.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Echthomos in Jesus' mighty name. We thank You for the gift of work and the opportunity You've provided through this new job. We pray for Your divine protection over Echthomos, keeping them safe from any harm or danger.
Lord, we ask that You grant Echthomos wisdom and discernment in their work, that every task may be accomplished supernaturally with Your help. May they find favor with their employers and colleagues, and may their work be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness. As the apostle Paul tells the slaves, or perhaps employees. We can imagine ourselves as slaves to Christ and employed by our country's godly government. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ Colossians 3:23.
Father, we also pray for Echthomos' financial stewardship. May they be able to save most of their money each week, following biblical principles of saving while avoiding a materialistic heart and worshiping their savings. Turning from such evil and giving generously to furthering Your kingdom. According to the apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 6:1719. Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life. Amen
Echthomos, remember that God is faithful and He cares about every aspect of your life, including your work and finances. Continue to trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. Be encouraged by the words from towards the end of Psalm 37. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him Psalm 37:47.
Let us point out what the Bible says specifically about savings and materialism in the verses above.
