We are truly sorry to hear about Josh's job loss and the struggles he is facing in finding a new one. We want to remind you both of God's faithfulness and provision during this challenging time. As believers, we are called to trust in God's plan and timing, knowing that He works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
Firstly, we want to address the fact that the prayer request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father, our Creator. When we pray in Jesus name, we are praying with Jesus Christ's authority. In John 14:13-14 in the World English Bible it is written, And whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. Also, in Acts 4:12, neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
In times of uncertainty, we can find comfort in God's Word. In Psalm 37:25 (WEB), it is written, I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread. This verse reminds us that God does not forsake His children, and He will provide for our needs.
In this time of waiting, let us pray that Josh remains steadfast in his faith and continues to seek God's will for his life. Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Josh and Loriemor in their time of need. Lord, You know the anxieties and fears they are facing, and we ask that You replace them with Your perfect peace. We pray that You open doors of opportunity for Josh, and that he receives favor in the eyes of potential employers. We ask that You guide him to the job You have prepared for him, and that he finds fulfillment and provision in Your plan.
We also pray for Loriemor, that You grant her the strength and wisdom to support her husband during this time. Help them both to trust in You and to grow in their faith through this trial. We ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage Josh to continue submitting applications and to trust in God's timing. It is also wise to seek godly counsel and support from fellow believers during this time. Remember that God is faithful, and He will provide for your needs according to His riches in glory.
Lastly, we want to remind both of you to keep praying and seeking God together, for a house divided against itself cannot stand. In Matthew 18:20 (WEB), it is written, For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
May you both find a renewed hope and strength in Christ.
