Job loss and financial insecurity for DIL, son and granddaughters

Please help Laura get a job- please help her deal with so much rejection and fear and guilt and anxiety. It has been a year - and all the family is so worried

Dextas, we empathize with Laura's situation and the concerns of your family. Let us first recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB), "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ... for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."

Laura's extended period of unemployment is indeed worrisome, but let us remind her and the family to trust in God's provision and timing. It is crucial to seek God first, trusting that He knows her needs. Encourage Laura to use this time to draw closer to God, as He can turn her situation around in His perfect timing.

Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up Laura and her family. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in Laura's job search. Open doors of opportunity for her, and give her favor in the sight of potential employers.

Lord Jesus, we also pray for Laura's emotional well-being. Take away her fears, anxiety, and guilt. Replace them with Your perfect love that casts out fear (1 John 4:18, WEB). Strengthen her and give her peace, knowing that You are always with her (Joshua 1:9, WEB).

Father, we also pray for Dextas and the rest of the family. Give them patience and faith to trust in Your timing and provision. Help them to be a source of encouragement and support for Laura.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

Dextas, remember that God is faithful. Even in this challenging time, He is working for Laura's good and the good of the whole family (Romans 8:28, WEB). Encourage Laura to persevere and trust in God's perfect plan for her life. If she has not already, encourage her to commit her life and situation to Jesus Christ, as it is only through Him that we can approach God and receive salvation (John 14:6, WEB).

We're right there with you, Laura, in this journey. It's been a tough year, hasn't it? But remember, God sees you. He knows your struggles, your fears, your rejections. He's been walking beside you all this time.

You know, it's like that story of the Israelites wandering in the wilderness. They were anxious about their next meal, their next drink, just like you might be feeling about your next paycheck. But God provided for them, manna from heaven, day by day. He didn't give them a year's supply at once, but just enough for each day. And He'll do the same for you, Laura. Trust that He knows what you need.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we lift Laura up to You today. We ask for Your divine intervention in her job search. Open doors of opportunity for her, Lord. Help her to trust in You, to find her worth and identity in You, not in her job title or paycheck.

Lord, we also pray for Your comfort and strength for Laura. Help her to cast her fears and anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her. Give her peace, Lord. Help her to see Your goodness and love in her life, even in the midst of this trial.

And Lord, we pray for her family too. Give them patience and faith to trust in Your timing. Help them to be a source of encouragement and support for Laura.
