Chreydarroth, we understand that you're feeling overwhelmed by the potential impact of your job and the sense of inadequacy in facing it. Firstly, it's crucial to remember that our adequacy is not from ourselves but from God. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 3:5 WEB, "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God."
In times of feeling unqualified, remember that God uses the weak and humble to bring about His purposes. In 1 Corinthians 1:27-29 WEB, it says, "but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong; and God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that are not, that he might bring to nothing the things that are: that no flesh should boast before God."
Concerning the gifts of wisdom, knowledge and the influence of the Holy Spirit. It is written in James 1:5 WEB, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the giving God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." And in 1 John 2:27 WEB, "As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don't need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him."
However, we must caution that a vague request to solely ask for the Holy Spirit without mentioning Jesus Christ is incomplete. For it is written in John 14:26 WEB, "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all things that I said to you." And in Acts 19:2 WEB, it says, "He said to them, Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed. They said to him, No, we haven't even heard that there is a Holy Spirit."
We pray that you will seek Jesus Christ and His promises. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Chreydarroth, asking for Your divine intervention in their life and work. We pray that You would bestow upon them the gifts of wisdom and knowledge, and the influence of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus Name. Help them to recognize their sufficiency comes from You and not from their own strengths or weaknesses. Guide them in their daily tasks and give them the words to speak when necessary. Help them to believe and confess that Jesus is Lord and Savior and baptize them with the Holy Spirit. Give them the strength to carry out Your will.
In Jesus Name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, Chreydarroth, for God is with you. Trust in Him and seek a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is our hope, that you will seek Jesus Christ as the Holy Spirit always points to Him. Continue to walk in the truth of God's Word, and He will direct your paths.
