We are deeply concerned for your son's situation and we join you in lifting him up in prayer. Firstly, we would like to remind you of the power of praying in Jesus' name, as He said, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB)
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up our brother who is in need of a job. We thank You, Lord, for Your sovereignty and goodness even in times of uncertainty. We ask that You would open the right doors for him and give him favor in the job market. We pray that he would trust in Your timing and plan, knowing that You have a purpose in this season of his life. In the meantime, Lord, we ask that You would provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory. We also pray for his emotional well-being, that he would not be discouraged but find his hope and joy in You. Remind him that 'we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.' (Romans 8:28 WEB) We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen."
In addition, we encourage your son to continue seeking God during this time. It's an opportunity for him to grow in his relationship with the Lord. He should remain diligent in his job search, while also resting in God's promise to provide. "But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today." (Deuteronomy 8:18 WEB)
Lastly, we would like to gently remind you to place your trust in God alone, not in saints or intermediaries. The Bible tells us that there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). It's only through Jesus that we have access to God.
